Frequently Leonie modified Anja’s patient file by extending her treatment plan, hushing up her healing progress or outright adding further injuries to the file, all to keep Anja in her helpless state a bit longer. The only dreaded variety was the appearance of Leonie every few days. With the never changing rhythm of various nurses taking care of her, turning on Netflix in the morning and turning of the lights in the evening, weeks blurred into each other.
Due to various painkillers and sedatives, her sense of time completely faded. Sweat, throbbing pain, boredom and general discomfort were just some of her problems. Despite the climatized hospital room, she sweated constantly in her plaster shell. Spending a whole summer in a cast that covered every inch of your body and prevents any movement certainly wasn’t something you could get accustomed to, but Anja tried her best.
